Emerald is always the best place for baptismal and birthday parties but not for weddings because the place is too small.
i decided to take a day off from work and go with my parents to the hospital for the regular check up of my dad. after the doc declared him healthy as a horse, we went to get lunch at Emerald Garden. my mom, being the usual yangchow freak that she is, ordered the yanchow fried rice. my dad got the fish and tofu and of course, i ordered lechon macau. great stuff. better than North Park i would say. the food here just has that authentic Chinese kick to it. and this might explain why there are a lot of chinese-filipinos dining at this place. always a good sign as the other reviews say.
Masarap naman food ng emerald garden, but nothing to rave about, nothing extraordinary. My grandmother celebrated her 83rd bday here, we reserved for 10 tables at the mezzanine of the new wing. the problem was, there were 12 tables and they had the extra 2 occupied by walk-in customers. nakakainis, pero wala kang magagawa, negosyo yun eh. the worst part, nag-alisan na yung ibang guests, di pa dumarating yung ibang food! holy guacamole! isa-isang dumarating yung ulam, and each took 20-30 minutes to arrive.
