Celebrities Jericho Rosales, Angel Locsin, Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos were among those who took time out to assist typhoon-stricken families in various parts of Manila.
Jericho Rosales was seen surfing through the rising waters in Loyola Grand Villas, Katipunan, Quezon City to help his neighbors. According to a Loyola Grand Villas resident, Jericho lived on a different street but came on his surfboard, and along with other neighbors, rescued a group of kids. "Raymart Santiago was also one of the first people there too. Though his house was flooded, he still managed to rescue some of our neighbors."
Popular TV actress Angel Locsin led the distribution of relief goods at Sagrada Familia Parish, Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City, according to a report in abs-cbnnews.com. According to Locsin, "Sila ang mga taong never naka-experience ng maginhawang buhay. Wala silang second floor. Wala silang matutungtungan. Wipe out lahat sila." Locsin was with other stars Shaina Magdayao, Maricar Reyes and Zanjoe Marudo.
Husband and wife Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos also rescued colleague and friend Gladys Reyes' family from their flooded home in Vista Verde Executive Village, Cainta, Rizal, according to a report on pep.ph. Agoncillo braved the flood waters to help Reyes and her family, who were trapped at the second floor of their home. Agoncillo used a raft to get them out of the house.
