“When I saw the footage of Typhoon Ondoy I was horrified and felt compelled to help in any way I could,” says New York-based Filipino bag designer Rafe Totengco of the idea for the “Rafe For a Cause” One-Day Super Sale happening on Saturday, November 14, from 9:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

“I was fortunate to have some left over stock from previous seasons that are still in very good and salable condition,” says Totengco. The prices for the sale are unbeatable: ladies’ bags will be sold for P5,000, and shoes, P2,500.

All proceeds go to charity, both to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy and to the scholarships for the less fortunate children of Negros through the Tapulanga Foundation, Totengco’s pet cause. The international designer, whose accessories are sold in over 60 shops and department stores around the world, has been helping the Tapulanga Foundation for years. Having spent his formative years in Bacolod, this advocacy is his way of giving back.

About the One-Day Sale, he adds, “Not only are you helping others but walking away with something fabulous! Now who can say no to guilt free shopping?” The cash-only sale will be held at the Promenade Building, 198 Wilson St. corner P.Guevarra, San Juan. For more information text Joy at 0918-919-7590.
