His wife Jinkee will join him in February in time for Valentine's Day, TV host Lolit Solis wrote in her Philippine Star column. "Ang reaksiyon ng mga malisyosa, marami ang puwedeng mangyari mula ngayon hanggang sa Araw ng mga Puso."

Solis added, "Kung naging discreet si Krista noon, baka hindi lumaki ang isyu tungkol sa kanila ni Manny. Takaw-pansin din ang 'escort' niya sa tuwing aalis at darating siya sa airport. Bakit may escort pa siya eh wala namang banta sa kanyang buhay? Napaka-harmless ng mga reporter, lalo na ng mga showbiz reporter."
