Anne Curtis to those who took advantage of her swimsuit snafu: "Have a little respect!"

Published: Mar 24, 2010 - 5:07pm

Anne Curtis finally broke her silence regarding the photos that started circulating the Internet yesterday, showing her inadvertently exposed breast during a live taping of ASAP XV last Sunday, March 21.

The 25-year-old Curtis, together with her Babe, I Love You co-star and ex-boyfriend Sam Milby, sat down for an interview on ANC's Dateline and appealed to the public to stop circulating the photos: "I really feel upset [that] it's coming out. Sana they had a little respect man lang to either delete it or not upload it."

"More than anything, it makes me really sad. I feel really disrespected. Alam ko naman na hindi talaga maiiwasan, but to upload it or to even spread it, that's what makes me sad. Nakaka-dishearten na may mga taong ganun. I'm not doing anything bad. Bakit nila kailangang gawin sa akin ito?" she told Dateline.

Curtis and Milby set the record straight and dispelled the rumors which implicated that the incident was merely a stunt to promote their film. "Who would want to expose themselves for a publicity stunt? Anne has never exposed herself. I don't think that she is really elated," said Milby.

Milby explained that the wardrobe malfunction resulted when Curtis' top folded during their live dance number. Milby reportedly covered up the shaken Curtis as several members of the audience started taking photos with their camera phones. Despite the requests of the production staff, several audience members still decided to upload the photos to the Internet, reports PEP.ph.

Curtis said that her management, Viva Communications Inc. and ABS-CBN, would take legal action against the websites and tabloids that published her uncensored photos. Viva released this statement earlier today:

"We are appalled by the behavior of some people who have irresponsibly posted over the internet a photo of our artist, Ms. Anne Curtis Smith, taken during the taping of one of her production numbers for ASAP XV. What happened during the taping was an unfortunate accident. Nothing was done intentionally. Anne was merely doing her best to deliver a solid performance as an artist.

"It is disheartening to discover though that certain people have taken advantage of the situation, maliciously uploading the photos over the internet. Worse, participating in the proliferation of the same over the net.

"Obviously, some unscrupulous individuals have capitalized on this misfortune and consequently exploited our artist whose only fault was to do her job well.

"We appeal to these individuals, please have a little respect and decency to stop posting the photos and distributing the same. Think of your sister, your mother, your wife, and your daughter. Have a heart."
