The New York Times reports that Filipino artist Ronald Ventura now holds the auction record for contemporary Southeast Asian art. The report revealed: "In April, one of his large graphite, acrylic and oil on canvas works, Grayground, sold for 8.42 million Hong Kong dollars, or $1.1 million, at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, surpassing the record set by the Indonesian artist Nyoman Masriadi in 2008."

GMA News Online reports that renowned Spanish artist Pablo Picasso’s works will be will be featured at the Galeriya Banko Sentral of the Metropolitan Museum of Manila from November 10, 2011 until January 7, 2012. The Suite Vollard by Picasso is a collection of 100 etchings using different techniques that were made in Paris from September 1930 to March 1937.
