(SPOT.ph) Twitter, that great, swirling miasma of ridiculously accessible—and most of the time unnecessary and, even worse, annoying—information. Times are when you itch to fire a nasty retort to some stupid tweet, but that would be the nadir of diplomacy. It could mean a string of “un-follows” or worse, the end of friendships. But sometimes we can’t help but fantasize…

    Tama lang yan, lahat ng nag react na negative sa blog ni Lourd na 'to eh I'm sure tinamaan at parang sinampal sa mukha. Kayo na nga nag sabi "Freedom of Expression" nag tweet kayo ng st*p*d at non sense na mga bagay so, take the risk. Kaya nga merong "REPLY" eh. So, It's either good or bad reply. kung ayaw mo ng bad reply, ayusin mo yung tweet mo punyeta. Lagyan mo ng sense at hindi yung kung ano-ano sh*t na basta may masabi lang.

    Many of us flips don't know irony even if it slaps us upside the head. Of course, the shallow in us won't find it inane posting pics of new sneaks, new fingernail paints, and whatnot on the net.     Wala akong twitter account kaya I find this article really amusing. And I really don't understand the rationale to post such "tweets" (of these people - which were replied by Lourd in his "fantasies"), other than... really, is it that important?

    Lesson - Be less annoying sa pag "tweet". Share something relevant not something selfish. Think before you click. Do your followers a favor.

    Maybe it should've been called Snappy Retorts instead of Snappy Replies since de Veyra had mean intentions and was about to diss some chirruping tweeters. Snappy replies? That's too tame for what he did. The guy practically stirred up a hornets nest here. As Samuel L. Jackson said in PULP FICTION before he executed an amateur crook, '...well, allow me to retort!' Then quotes a passage from the book of Ezekiel and promptly blasts the guy to kingdom come. Oscar worthy scene, i tell ya.

    Am glad De Veyra did what he did to those self-absorbed, materialistic, and should i say, on the heavy side tweeters. Mr Lourd hits them where it'll hurt them the most. Those tweeters were jolted at the reality of their lives, which is, they're acting like decadent, self-centered individuals who give a FLYING F even if they see the planet is going straight to hell.     hindi ako kabilang sa mga nag-tweet na inatake mo, lourd. pero i feel for them. at natakot ako habang isa isa kong binabasa ang atake mo sa kanila. natakot ako dahil baka isa ako, o isa ang mga kaibigan ko, o kakilala, sa mga nag tweet na nilait mo (mabuti na lang at hindi). come on, lourd. hindi mo maaaring icensor ang anumang sasabihin ng tao sa kanilang tweets. karapatan nila iyon gaano man ka st*p*d ang mga twitt nila sa paningin mo. lalo na't ang karamihan ng followers ng bawat isa ay kaanak, kaibigan, kakilala, na nagke care naman im sure kung anuman ang kinain nila, o ginagawa nila hindi ba? except ikaw, ini-stalk mo sila at ginamit para lang magpatawa (o kung anumang motibo mo). ang sama. hindi ito katulad ng ibang blogs mo na sinubaybayan ko. at ang nakakalungkot, maraming natuwa sa ginawa mo (why? dahil hindi sila ang isa sa mga inatake mo). so disappointing, lourd.

Eh 'yung mga haters niya ba kayang ilagay 'yung mga totoong pangalan nila (kahit screen name kung artista ka o nickname lang at apelyido) at kung saan sila nagtatrabaho sa dulo ng mga comments nila? Sige na, ikaw na ang henyo, ikaw na ang may fashion sense, ikaw na ang fitness expert, ang professional counselor, ang magiting na volunteer para sa mga mahihirap, at may sandamukal na followers at fans na kaparehas mong magisip. Ikaw na ang may karapatang magsabi kung sino ang bakla, pangit o mataba nang hindi nalalaman ang tunay na istorya ng buhay nila.

    i don't know why anything other than "nasty replies" were expected when the article says.... "Times are when you itch to fire a nasty retort to some st*p*d tweet, but that would be the nadir of diplomacy. It could mean a string of “un-follows” or worse, the end of friendships. But sometimes we can’t help but fantasize…"

    Strange. Not sure any of that constitutes wit or humor, just plain mean. Twitter and Facebook statuses are saturated by insipid flow-of-consciousness writing, and DO make for easy target practice for intellectual gunslingers -- and I know Lourd packs heat with the best of them -- but most of those replies were neither witty nor humorous, just nasty. It's one thing to ridicule people with a certain elegance or panache, it's another thing to resort to simple name-calling. For certain I'm about to be flamed as somebody who doesn't understand Lourd's humor, and perhaps this is true -- but I do recognize a good zinger when I see/hear one. These are mostly lazy retorts.

    Wow, for once you're not funny. Something's been lost in the past few posts (and there haven't been a lot as of late). This wasn't witty at all. Mean-spirited, in fact. If you do want to keep this whole retweeting thing up though, don't you think it'd be more interesting if you featured celebrities? Trolling regular, anonymous people is too safe. There's an abundance of st*p*dity in famous people, and it'd infinitely be more entertaining because you actually have something to pick on with them (their lofty sense of self-importance is one).
