Presidential adviser Ronald Llamas may be fired for his pirated DVD shopping spree, says deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte

Published: Jan 30, 2012 - 3:45am

They didn't fire him for last year's gun incident, but will they fire him now for buying pirated goods?

Interaksyon.com quoted deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte, who said on Sunday (January 29) that "the recommendation of possible administrative sanctions against presidential political adviser Ronald Llamas are part of an ongoing Palace investigation on Llamas' so-called pirated DVD shopping spree." Valte clarified that "firing" Llamas is part of the range of administrative penalties.

Llamas was photographed purchasing bootleg titles in a Quezon City mall on January 23.  Reporter Dona Policar herself spotted Llamas, took his photo, and wrote the story about the incident.

The Interaksyon.com report further noted: "Llamas has yet to break his silence on the issue. Valte said the political adviser reported for work last week, but would not answer phone calls from members of the Palace communications group. Valte could not confirm if Aquino has already spoken with Llamas, but said they have received word that the investigation has already started."

Kapag hindi nag-reflect sa SAL-N ni Llamas next year na lumaki and DVD collection niya, puwede na ninyo siya i-impeach.

The decent thing to do would be to tender his voluntary resignation and cry his mea culpas. That's what guilty execs in other parts of the world do all the time. But in this country, hides are tough. Tougher than buffalo hides.

Sus, we all know he won't be fired. Kung sa baril nga di na-sibak, sa DVD pa kaya?
