Inquirer.net reports that "at least 52 people were killed when a 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit Negros and Cebu provinces shortly before noon Monday (February 6), causing landslides and huge cracks on highways, and violently shaking buildings."
Meanwhile, Interaksyon.com reports that as of 7:33 p.m. on Monday (February 6) "seismologists noted 158 aftershocks, the strongest at 6:10 p.m. with Intensity 6.2 monitored 60 kilometers north, northwest of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and 82 km west, northwest of Tagbilaran City, Bohol."
