The Huffington Post reports that Michael Nuanes, a 37-year-old Denver Police Officer, found himself on the other side of the law when he got arrested on January 27 for allegedly beating his girlfriend. At the time, Nuanes said he lost his temper after his girlfriend threw a Justin Bieber doll at him. The said doll bruised his foot. In the police report, Nuanes referred to the doll as a "Barbie doll" but it was actually a Justin Bieber doll. But there's more to the story.
The Huffington Post noted: "(Nuanes' girlfriend) told interviewers later that the argument started when Nuanes grew angry she hadn't updated her Facebook page to reflect their relationship."
Apparently, Nuanes turned downright violent after the Justin Bieber doll was thrown at him. The Huffington Post further revealed: "Nuanes kicked in the door to the bathroom where she was hiding, and proceeded to assault her with the broken door." Nuanes is now out on a $1,500 bond and has been reassigned to desk duty as the case proceeds.
