Sen. Koko Pimentel is the first to file his Certificate of Candidacy for 2013 polls
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Monday, October 1, "Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III was the first to file his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Monday morning, the first day of the week-long filing period for candidates in the 2013 elections."

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Monday, October 1, "Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III was the first to file his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Monday morning, the first day of the week-long filing period for candidates in the 2013 elections."

The report noted that Pimentel "filed for candidacy under his own party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), although he is also a guest candidate of the ruling Liberal Party (LP)."

According to the report, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) chairman Sixto Brillantes said "only senatorial candidates will be allowed to file their COCs at the main office" while "congressional and gubernatorial candidates will file their COCs at the Comelec's regional offices."
