Published: Apr 8, 2010 - 1:52am

momandtinas_gitaasuncion21. Mom & Tina's Bakery Café
Dish: Chicken and Spinach Lasagna
Price: P150
Address: 106 E. Rodgriguez Jr. Ave., Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City.   (914-0833); G/F Unit 14 Tropical Palms Condominium, Perea cor. dela Rosa St., Legaspi Village, Makati City (840-4299)

Mom & Tina's Chicken and Spinach Lasagna is truly comfort food, with layers of chicken, tomato, cream sauce and chopped spinach and a rich, thick sauce, which makes for a filling lunch or dinner choice.

cafemarygrace22. Cafe Mary Grace
Dish: Fried Bangus with rice
Price: P146
Served only at the Serendra (856-0858) and Alabang (384-0129) branches.

Offered for breakfast at Café Mary Grace in Serendra and Alabang, this hearty set served with rosemary fried rice, tomatoes and spicy vinegar, makes a morning pitstop at Café Mary Grace worth the trip.

tilapia23. Amano Bistro.Bar
Dish: Palawan Tilapia
Price: P105
Address: 184 Unit B, Tomas Morato corner Scout Castor St., Barangay Sacred Heart, Quezon City. Tel. No. 232-7781

Marinated in bagoong, calamansi, ginger and spring onion, the tilapia is steamed as a fillet. Soft and bursting with the salty bagoong flavor, it is served with rice, sliced tomatoes and onions. Amano also offers a pork-heavy Bicol Express with a serving of rice for P120. You can tweak the spiciness according to your preference by telling the servers how you want it prepared or by topping it off with Bonggan (crushed dried dilis and chili). A dollop of sweetened pineapple counters the spicy Bicol Express.

fazolis24. Fazoli's
Dish: Pepperoni and Pizza combos
Price: P130-P145
Address: Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City. Tel. No. 421-0453.

Fazoli's Pepperoni and Pizza combos makes it easier when you can't decide if you want pizza or pasta. With half servings of pasta and slice of pizza, choose from their winner combos, all below P150: Pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce (P130), Pizza with Fetuccine Alfredo (P140) or Pizza and Spaghetti Al Pesto (P145), served with warm, soft bread.

persiana25. Persiana
Dish: Keema
Price: P77
Address: 126 Pioneer St. Mandaluyong City. Tel. No. 637-4491.

If you're a big fan of Mediterranean food and meat, the tasty keema (minced meat with eggplant and spices) at Persiana does its job. Opt to have it with buttered rice (P30) or pita bread (P15/ piece) for a meal that satisfies without busting the budget.

it's amusing how people point out the the articles here in spot about cheap eats are not really cheap. kasi totoo naman.rnrnsiguro ito ang definition ng cheap ng mga writers or intended audience ng spot. but there are so many other places where you can find enjoyable meals na mas mura pa.rnrnexplore explore explore!

You should go to club 650 in libis. The burger stand "regrub" sells mouth watering burgers starting at P55 only. They sell a triple patty burger for only P120 or P130. Man, those burgers are the best.

There's a new place in Kapitolyo that sells great meals for only 65 pesos. It's called Hungry Boss. Tried it and their food is surprisingly good. Better than all mentioned in the list!

    (1) i agree with mel. mr. kabab!

    (2) everything at steak and snackaroo also serve inexpensive food that (in my humble opinion) tastes better than slice and dice. :(
  • teena Apr 12 2010 @ 10:39am Report Abuse
    yeah,,why not create a list below 100...

being a fan of Tokyo 2x, mcdonalds, KFC and pizza hut (99 peso meals) ,,, finding meals below 150 is not something new for me...
  • Engr. Jhun Abraham Apr 10 2010 @ 06:55pm Report Abuse
    Nakakagutom....sarap....maraming choices...mura pa....try ko yan next time....try nyo rin....
  • igeramos Apr 10 2010 @ 03:36pm Report Abuse
Why not meals for 49 pesos. That would be a real challenge. Fast food joints not included.
  • balingkinitan Apr 10 2010 @ 12:16am Report Abuse
kyohal pa din ang mga prices ha...Carla is correct, if you could create a list below P100, way much better...
  • igeramos Apr 09 2010 @ 02:21pm Report Abuse
    @vomit. Villar, ikaw ba yan?
  • igeramos Apr 09 2010 @ 12:37am Report Abuse

  • Carla Apr 08 2010 @ 01:39pm Report Abuse
If you can create a list below P100, even better! :D
  • Marc Apr 08 2010 @ 01:02pm Report Abuse
    What?! No Jollibee? Boo! haha
  • marianne Apr 08 2010 @ 12:33pm Report Abuse
Well, the article's a little iffy, because with a drink and service charge, I think most of your choices come closer to P200.

Also, you made some food chain choices which perhaps I would not have made (but then again taste is individual, as is critique of what one eats).

I would add Earle's Delicatessen sausage sandwiches (several kinds, almost all under P100) and the sandwich/pasta dishes at BlackSoup (154 Maginhawa).
  • fely Apr 08 2010 @ 11:14am Report Abuse
makes me want to take my lunch break early and try them all
  • vomit Apr 08 2010 @ 10:29am Report Abuse
Maybe I'm just poor and finding meals under P150 isn't a novelty for me (it's usually a necessity), but this list isn't very impressive.
  • rieya Apr 08 2010 @ 09:43am Report Abuse
    weee! love the list!!
  • Mel Apr 08 2010 @ 07:10am Report Abuse
