Those who have ventured to the A.Venue Mall in Makati Avenue know that Focaccia, which opened in 2008, churns out tasty panizza dubbed Pazzo Rollio ("Crazy Rolls" in English). The Pazzo Rollio--crispy, thin-crust pizza served in long slices and topped with arugula greens and alfalfa sprouts and then rolled up--is the menu's biggest crowd-drawer.
Two years later, Focaccia opened its second branch at The Fort Strip in Taguig. Dressed in vibrant red with white hues, high ceilings and with same casual feel, the new place can seat up to 80 diners and can now cater to parties. Says co-owner RG Gamboa, they opened the new spot to cater to the offices and the condominiums in The Fort area.
The Pazzo Rollio now shares the limelight with a number of new items on the menu: Paninis, Risotto and Cannelloni al Funghi. Not to be overlooked are other dishes such as Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio Dip (P240), Osso Buco (P380) and Steak with Red Wine Sauce (P350). Choose to end the meal with a serving of limoncello (P120/ P200 for a la mode), a fluffy cake infused with the tangy and slightly sweet limoncello liqueur or go for a scoop of Angelati Italia gelato (P120 per scoop).
