for the chocolate oblivion cake, i had to read twice to digest that you really characterized the girl overachiever as someone who got straight A's in school, married a doctor, and gave birth to twins. I thought we were already in the 21st century, past that age when a woman's greatest achievement is to marry and bear children. I know this is far from the topic of the article but it's precisely these little details that enter people's subconscious, as i'm sure it did in this writer's article. Dear editors of Spot.ph, do us all a favor and have your staff undergo gender-sensitivity training.

I love the chocolate cake from Starbucks. It was also featured as one of the best chocolate cakes in manila in Lori's list. Never liked Goldilocks or Red Ribbon they're always dry

i used to order my chocolate cakes from Duke's Kitchen in Greenhills (it's a home-based operation). i'm no expert on cakes and sweets, but i've been eating chocolate cake since i was a kid, and nothing has topped Duke's Kitchen in my book, EVER. i've actually tried most of the cakes on this list, but so far, Duke's Kitchen was the moist-est, yummy-est, feel-good-est chocolate cake i've ever had in my life. it's too bad they "closed" operations. i wish this comment reaches them and they reconsider!

You clearly have EXCELLENT taste. If you think Goldilocks is the best chocolate cake you've had in Manila, I've got a melt-in-your-mouth ground filet sandwich I'd like you to try. They sell it at this little place I know called "McDonald's", and they call it a "hamburger"rnrnWith your taste, I'm sure you'll be impressed.
