(SPOT.ph) H-Cuisine in Quezon City has the cozy neighborhood resto vibe down pat: the two-storey home-turned-restaurant has a cozy dining space splashed in a blue and yellow palette with minimal décor and booth seats lining one side of the first floor dining area.  The second floor offers a more quiet and  spacious dining area for bigger groups and private parties. When full, the small restaurant is a noisy hub of families and groups of friends feasting on Chef Hannah Herrera-Bagatsing’s bestseller: the Angus Beef Belly, listed on the menu as the “Most Awesome Angus Beef Belly” (P288, single serving with rice; P428, for sharing).

The declaration has certainly attracted families and curious foodies to this small Quezon City restaurant for the Angus Beef Belly, a serving of slow-roasted tender beef, with its edges slightly charred.  The meat slices are served with thick, tasty demi-glace gravy on the side, which is what really makes the dish an easy favorite. According to Chef Hannah, the beef is marinated and is slow-roasted for up to 12 hours. “There are no shortcuts,” she says. This is perhaps one of the main reasons why once just-curious customers head back to sample more of Chef Hannah’s take on comfort food.

Other H-Cuisine menu options include the Callos ala Don Juan (P268, single serving with rice; P388, for sharing) and the Osso Buco with Grape Relish (P388, for sharing). Not a fan of meat? Go for the Fish Trafalgar on Penne (P228) , with a rich cream sauce blended with truffle oil. Frozen, ready to reheat items are also available to take home.

My family had dinner last night and we were very disappointed. the clam pasta didn't taste anything like clam and the pasta was hard. Angus beef was 1/3 fat nothing like this photo you posted which looks very meaty, as expected for a press release. Service was terrible. Servers are not equipped with the correct menu description/ info. There was no anticipation of needs. Servers needed to be told to refill water, clear the table, offer dessert among others. To top it all, we were not told from the onset that the credit card swiper didn't work. I had to borrow money from my son. Thank God he had enough. What an inconvenience it would have been if I or my husband had to go to an ATM machine. There was no supervisor around to relay my concerns. Useless to discuss it with the servers. Suggest you train your people... Arlene
