(SPOT.ph) Pizza became a popular street food in Naples during the 16th century. Two centuries later, Three Musketeers author Alexander Dumas described the variety of pizza toppings: "in Naples pizza is flavored with oil, lard, tallow, cheese, tomato, or anchovies." What would the good M. Dumas, though, have thought of supersized pizza?
El Buono Pizza is known for their record-breaking 65-inch pizza (P7,999), currently Asia’s Biggest Pizza. They don't just have extra-large pizzas, though; their supersized menu also includes the Skyscraper Burger (P1,980), a two-foot burger, served with a forest of fries. Quench your thirst with the Flower Vase Iced Tea (P55), which comes in five different flavors, and then finish off your meal with the Parfait Everest (P2,200), a delectable mix of wafer sticks, marshmallow, whip cream, choco syrup, strawberries, and mangoes.
If you (or your wallet) are feeling overwhelmed, then try their other dishes that come in smaller servings. The mouthwatering El Buono Pizza Special (P279-P2,389) is a must-try with its mix of mozzarella, ham, ground beef, bell pepper, black olives, and special signature sauce. Our favorite among their entrees, which can be served for solo or sharing, is the Pan-seared Dory with Mango Salsa (P188/P478), where the strong taste of the mango blends smoothly with the silkiness of the dory. Other notables are the Italian Baby Back Ribs (P478/P1,188) and the Creamy Italian Porkchops (P248/P628), both of which can be served with rice or mash potato.
