4. DISCOVER THE SECRET OF KELLS

secretofkells

The little Irish film that could, The Secret of Kells, went up against big-time movies Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess and the Frog and Up in the Best Animated Feature Film category of the 2010 Academy Awards. It lost to Up but as NYMag.com wrote even before the awarding ceremony, it is "perhaps the year's biggest Oscar upset." The Secret of Kells runs until March 26 at the Mogwai Cinematheque.

5. BE AS LOUD AS THE HELL YOU WANT

avenueq2

The Tony Award winning musical, Avenue Q, is back, featuring Rachel Alejandro, Felix Rivera, Joel Trinidad, Calvin Millado, Aiza Seguerra, Frenchie Dy and Thea Tadiar. Catch the last run of this comedy on March 26 and 27 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium. Reserve tickets via TicketWorld.

Rachel Alejandro (Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut) sings "There's A Fine, Fine Line."
