(SPOT.ph) Following the successful run last year of Cirque du Soleil's Varekai is another heart-pounding show called Fuerza Bruta (“brute force”), which runs from February 14 to March 26 at the Manila Hotel Tent, One Rizal Park, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
The 60-minute, interactive, and non-verbal performance originated from Buenos Aires, Argentina and combines dance, theater, acrobatics, visual displays, and club beats. The elaborate set design features a 45-foot clear-bottom tilting pool, a six-foot-high treadmill, a 20-foot flying Mylar curtain, and a 200-gallon water tank.
With the show’s aim to stun the senses, audiences are encouraged to participate by shouting, spinning, touching, and even helping the cast smash things.
Fuerza Bruta has awed audiences in New York, Chicago, Miami, London, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Moscow, Lisbon, and Taipei, to name a few. "We have had amazing success touring Fuerza Bruta around the world, and after a very successful run in Taipei, we are excited to bring it back to Asia," said Michael Cohl, Chairman of S2BN Entertainment.
Tickets are at P2,500 for weekdays (Monday to Thursday at 8 p.m.) and P3,000 for weekends (Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.). For inquiries, contact the Manila Hotel concierge at 320-1111.
