MY WORLD: Toti Dalmacion
Tune in to Groove Nation’s Toti Dalmacion’s music-filled world.
(SPOT.ph) It's an understatement to say that Toti Dalmacion loves music-the man breathes and lives music having been in the scene for nearly three decades. In 1993 he put up Groove Nation, an under-the-radar record store that eventually evolved into a community of hardcore music lovers with the same taste in sound and style. In the mid-90s, Groove Nation became known for Consortium, a series of underground rave parties that featured foreign DJs spinning on turntables.
These days, the 44-year-old is more commonly know as the founder of small indie label Terno Recordings, a label that's home to a pool of some of the best local artists like crowd favorites Radioactive Sago Project and Up Dharma Down, and newer yet equally talented bands Encounters with a Yeti, The Charmes, and Hidden Nikki, among others.
SPOT.ph lets you take a look at Toti's music-filled milieu (he's got more than 20,000 records to date!). Plus, check out his kick-ass watch collection and find out where his fascination for all things vintage came from.
