(SPOT.ph) Indie cinephiles and Pinoy rock music lovers flocked to the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater on July 23 for the much-awaited Philippine premiere of director Quark Henares' first indie flick, Rakenrol.
In a short speech before the movie screening, a visibly pumped Henares said, "This will be, I think, many years down the line, one of the most important nights of our lives."

Henares' Rakenrol co-writer Diego Castillo of the band Sanwich was there with cast members Glaiza de Castro, Jason Abalos, Ketchup Eusebio, Alwyn Uytingco, Ramon Bautista, and Jun Sabayton. Also present were designer and musician Mich Dulce, TV host and radio DJ Sam Oh, Pupil's Ely Buendia, and TV host ShawnYao.
After the movie, the crowd headed to Harbour Square beside CCP for the all-star after-movie concert featuring bands like Pedicab, Ang Bandang Shirley, Arigato Hato, Kate Torralba, Outerhope, Halik ni Gringo, Itchyworms, Taken by Cars, Ciudad, Pedicab, Pupil, and Hapipaks (the band in the movie). Also spotted at the concert were director Cathy Garcia-Molina, primetime TV stars Bella Padilla, Jennica Garcia, JM De Guzman, Anne Curtis, and Erwann Heussaff.
