Game of Thrones actor joins Encantadia 2016
It's Westeros meets Encantadia!
(SPOT.ph) Two fantasy worlds are colliding on your screens very soon! According to a report from GMA News, former Game of Thrones actor Conan Stevens, who played Ser Gregor Clegane (a.k.a. The Mountain), is confirmed to join Encantadia 2016.
In an interview with 24 Oras reporter Nelson Canlas, Stevens declined to share more information about his role, saying, "I can't talk about it but I can say that I tend get typecasted. So you can probably expect more of the same. Big, imposing, I tend to get those roles."
Stevens was photographed on set with the cast last June 8. In one photo, he posed with actor Rocco Nacino (who plays Aquil) and series director Mark Reyes.
To refresh your memory, Stevens played Ser Gregor Clegane in the first season of Thrones. One of his most famous scenes (above) was his jousting face-off with Ser Loras Tyrell. When Clegane was defeated, he beheaded a horse in anger.
He was later replaced by actor Ian Whyte in Season 2, who was later replaced by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who has been playing the character since Season 4. Encantadia airs this July 18.
