jologs_girl Oct 05 2010 @ 11:35pm Report AbuseThis is where I had my birthday lunch last October 3. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and 1 child. Their serving portion is big enough to share by 2-3 people. For starters, we had the Mississippi Seafood Chowder served on a bread bowl and Debbie Does Debris. Both were good, I just wish they served it really hot. We ordered a full slab of Blackened Cajun Ribs which was yummy and tender with a side of coleslaw and Ol' dirty rice. I wish though that the ribs were a bit warmer, as if fresh off the oven or grill. We also had the Baked Blackened Chicken, spicy enough to my liking with veggies and mashed potato on the side. The Blackened Lengua was so tender and tasty, I just did not get the "blackened" part since it wasn't as Cajun tasting as I expected but it was still good. The best out of all that we ordered would have to be the Smoked Oysters with Salmon Cream. Oysters topped with smoked salmon with cream and mozzarella, it was amazing! :) Good food that is reasonably priced, great ambiance and our server was very nice. He found out it was my birthday when he heard my sister tell my niece to give me a birthday kiss and they surprised me with a happy birthday song and fudge brownies ala mode on the house. :)
