The next little big star could be one of them! Eleven Music Museum music scholars from the Music School of Ryan Cayabyab unveil their talents on March 20, 7 p.m. at the Teatrino in Musmusikwela: The Recital.
After nine months of training, the 8-to-12-year-old boys and girls perform a special presentation personally supervised by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. Previously made up of 17 music scholars culled from a group of some 200 youngsters who joined the audition, the number has been pruned down to the 11 who passed the various phases of their musical training at the Maestro's famed music school.
The 11 scholars are Miah Isabelle Canton, Cristina de Leon, Laika Maninang, Leon Matawaran, Alyssa Mora, Darlene Louise Ordanza, Janella Salvador, Juan Miguel Santos, Stephen Tan, Ma. Danica Velasco and Caleb John Hinanay.
Dubbed Musmusikwela, for Eskwelahan ng Musmos Sa Musika, the project is a joint undertaking of the Music Museum Group with the Music School of Ryan Cayabyab. It was launched by Music Museum in May 2009 as its centerpiece project for its 20th anniversary.
