Foldabots is a series of cut out cardboard robots that turn into cars, robots, and animals. The 3-day workshop teaches kids how to invent their own characters, learn to draw 3D robots, and build the toys out of cut-out paper. It also builds their confidence and helps them discover their talents and skills through creating different characters using their imagination.
The workshop facilitator, Jomike Tejido, is currently an architect of Tejido Architecture and Art. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas and received the Thesis of the Year Award in 2005.
He conceptualized Foldabots or folder-made robots that can be transformed into alternative forms such as a motor vehicle or a robotic animal. This project was launched in K-Zone magazine and got the attention of young readers.
