I must admit that my love affair with chocolate started at a very young age, and it gets more and more intense as the years go by. Fact is, I rarely buy shoes and clothes, and I never spend on bags and makeup, but I don't have second thoughts when splurging on chocolate. That's just the way I am.

Since it opened in mid-March this year, Chocolate Fire has been attracting serious chocolate lovers with its assortment of unique edible masterpieces. When my little girl and I finally had the chance to visit this chocolate paradise, we just fell in love with it instantly. Rows and rows of amazing chocolate creations on display made my eyes sparkle and my heart skip a beat. It's a real chocoholic's dream come true!

A variety of premium quality ingredients like fresh or dried fruits dipped in rich Belgian chocolate will surely tickle discerning chocolate lovers' taste buds. I tried one medium fresh dipped strawberry (P90; the large size, P125, is almost as big as my fist) and was very happy with it. The fresh dipped cherries (P50 each) were plump and juicy and tasted lovely, while the truffles (about P40 each) are to-die-for! Even the Pringles covered in milk or dark chocolate (P15 each) are sinfully delicious!

The staff gave my little girl a tiny cup of "Baby Cino" free of charge. It's a sweet and yummy chocolate drink with marshmallows and whipped cream. Simply wonderful. Other interesting items such as cornflake clusters, gooey caramels dunked in chocolate, and chocolate-spun popcorn are next on my list of must-tries. Like any lovestruck person, I can't wait to go there again and try its other chocolate masterpieces and even the savory treats like the quiche of the day, paninis and pasta dishes. There's a whole new world of yummy surprises out there!

The first time i went there to see & try what's all the fuz is all about, I was lucky that they were having a "Buy One Take One Sale" of their strawberry dipped chocolate. It's two strawberries for the price of one!!!

glad i was curious enough that day!!!!

I almost forgot to mention. Can they make chocolate covered chicharon? I think that would be heavenly.

I'm a chocoholic as well. And I like madaboutfood, I rarely shop for clothes, bags or shoes. However, big chunk of my pay check goes to books, music and chocolates. If there's such a thing as a dedicated follower of fashion or a fashion victim, I am the chocolate consumer equivalent. I have spent copious amounts of cash / credit on Royce, Max Brenner, Marks and Sparks, Perugina Bacci, Meiji, and of course not to mention chocolate flavored ice cream and gelati and on lean months, the ever dependable choconut or a bar of kitkat that helps keep those hunger pangs at bay. With this unhealthy relationship with chocolates, I have to have a quarterly dental check up, instead of just having it annually. With this form of gluttony, it helps to have a relative who is a dentist. I still have to check my blood sugar, but let's not go there. Thank you for this review as I can certainly add this in the repertoire of my legal highs. My only problem is they don't accept credit cards for a place that accepts reservations. Nevertheless, there are countless of ATM machines in the neighborhood that could pay for a dozen of chocolate truffles for lunch is not a bad idea after all.
