You may be on Facebook and Twitter but where would the web world be without tidbit blogging (and re-blogging) on Tumblr? The user-friendly, mixed-media blog site used to be a cyber secret of sorts among the social media-savvy until local celebrities signed up and made it more "mainstream." We didn't need Tumblarity (it's now defunct anyway) for this list--instead, we picked the most engaging, habit-forming Tumblr users on our radar who keep us coming back for more.

10 Pinoys to Follow on Tumblr
About Tricia: Tricia is one of them multi-hyphenated ones. At 22, Gosingtian is a Filipino-Chinese artist who takes photos, models, styles clothing, and blogs. She loves "Asian aesthetics, and Japanese fashion, beauty and culture," describes her style as "sophisti-cute," and is known for her signature pose. Proof she’s the real deal: she was part of Preview’s Creative It List in 2008, The Philippine Star’s 22 Achievers Under 22 in 2009, and Go Negosyo Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs in 2010.
Tumblr Tale: Her Tumblr is a visual treat for stylephiles and shutterbugs who enjoy poring over her LookBook outfits, photography gigs, and press features. Every once in a while she posts behind-the-scenes snapshots of local productions like Chicosci’s "What’s Your Poison" music video—which she was in—and her cover shoot for Uno starring filmmaker Ramon Bautista and sexy star Paloma.
About Ramon: There’s always a latta fan where Ramon Bautista is. The filmmaker-actor-professor once described himself as an ordinary person who does nothing but go online, but he’s every bit the Internet action star his Twitter says he is. Just watch this video.
Tumblr Tale: This guy loves to get up close and personal with the camera. Spot him with his tugsh tugsh face on, welcoming the New Year with waterworks, and doing his trademark thumbs-up photo-op with celebrities (and Sponge Bob). His videos are also worth a click--check out his pinakbet pizza taste test and sand surfing adventure in Ilocos Norte.
About Pepe: At 22, he won the Venice Film Festival’s Lion of the Future Award in 2009 for his first film, Engkwentro. Named one of the world’s 100 exceptional emerging filmmakers, he also bagged the Best Asian Film award for Engkwentro at the Jeonju International Film Festival in South Korea last year. Currently, he is working on his second film, A Little War. Diokno also writes for The Philippine Star and serves as the executive director of the volunteer group Rock Ed Philippines.
Tumblr Tale: Diokno usually recommends short video clips and replies to his followers. He encourages aspiring filmmakers to pursue their craft while offering nuggets of wisdom ("[Study in a] university—not for the film courses, but for social sciences, sciences, math, psychology, etc.... Learning how to use a camera is useless if you don’t have anything to say").
About Gang: In 2005, Gang Badoy founded Rock Ed Philippines, a volunteer group that promotes social awareness and change through out-of-the-classroom methods—music, dance, graphic design and more. She used to host Rock Ed Radio, an "alternative Social Studies class on air," with musician and writer Lourd de Veyra on NU 107.5.
Tumblr Tale: She is known for her short and simple updates, usually of a single photo accompanied by a few lines. Take this photo of her and a little boy tinkering with a camera. Her caption: "’You mean you couldn’t touch the screen before?’ (Who missed out: us or them?)"
About Francis: The former NU 107.5 DJ does musical scoring for commercials and takes photos along with his girlfriend Niña Sandejas. He used to play the guitar for The Dawn. Reyes describes himself as a "musician with tinnitus," a "photographer with bad eyes" and a "writer with awful penmanship."
Tumblr Tale: Aside from posting and reblogging photos, Reyes takes on questions from netizens, from what guitar and amps to use, to "How do you continue to work for a station (the now defunct NU 107.5) that claims to be ’the home of new rock’ yet plays the weakest and most mind numbing crap to vaguely resemble ’rock’ music?" To which, Reyes cordially answered the latter: "We avoided reformatting by changing (and) tweaking the programming a bit, and yes, it was not always spot-on... Between compromise and reformatting, I’d choose compromise any day. At least the word ’promise’ is there, corny as this may sound."
About Niña: A familiar face in the music industry, Sandejas writes for Pulp magazine and the website London Meets Manila. This photographer has toured with Rivermaya and The Dawn, and has captured live performances of Katy Perry, Kanye West, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Kings of Convenience, and Paramore. She was shortlisted in the NME Music Photography Awards last year, while in 2007 she once displayed her work at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery along with 21 other photographers. She styles and does still photography for movies as well.
Tumblr Tale: Her account is a music buff’s dream come true with poster-ready and screensaver-worthy photos of artists performing, letting loose, and even puckering up. From time to time, Sandejas shares memorable offstage moments like one of Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta’s birthday party attended by former Rivermaya frontman Bamboo Mañalac. "Mark’s parents asked everyone to give their birthday wishes and what touched me the most [was] when Bamboo (and I’ll just paraphrase him a bit because you know how parties and memories go, but this struck me) told Mark that night: ’It’s been a while, but I’m glad that when I look across the table, I still see my old friend.’"
About Regina: The "ambassador of red lipstick," Regina Belmonte works as the assistant beauty editor of Cosmopolitan Philippines and blogs about her makeup finds. She is the editor-at-large and one of the columnists of "Young Star," the lifestyle section of The Philippine Star. And yes, she happens to be the granddaughter of House Speaker Sonny Belmonte.
Tumblr Tale: She shares makeup test runs complete with photos, blogs about her love for music and football, and occasionally vents about "surnamed" woes, "age-inappropriate teenage angst." She has answered tons of questions from her followers, but she still responds to as much queries as she can in one go every month.
About Saab: "Tumblr Queen" Saab Magalona plays an antagonist in the teleserye Koreana and co-hosts the online show Saabmarine Teleradyo with director RA Rivera. Last month, she and her siblings Maxene, Elmo, and Arkin signed with GMA Artist Center.
Tumblr Tale: Fans of this Internet celebrity can follow her daily exploits through her frequently updated blog. Get sneak peeks of her Koreana ensemble, see her make a funky fashion statement, or hang out with her famous siblings. Snapshots of local showbiz and music celebrities like Angel Aquino, Bianca Gonzalez and Chito Miranda also pop up on her blog.
Tumblr Tale: Geek out over snapshots of his The Joker, Crimson Dynamo, and Mace Windu action figures. Sibulo is one huge Batman fan; he has a bunch of the superhero’s merchandise (watch, notebook and flip-flops, to name a few) and he is working on Project: Batsuit. So far he has crossed the basic suit, gloves, bracers, batarangs, bat-cuffs, listening devices and a marble off the list.
About Avid: Liongoren directs TV commercials and music videos, and illustrates for Project 365. In 2002, Preview’s Creative It List called him "one of the most lauded Philippine artists" and said he is known as the "ubersupplier" at Warner Music Philippines.
Tumblr Tale: Drop by Liongoren’s online space for laughs and thought-provoking art. Check out a cow and robot’s friendship, a bloody take on "see no evil," and a wide-eyed interpretation of Francis M.’s poetry, among others. His most commented works are for sale in 12-by-18-inch canvas prints that each come with "an original doodle and 10 million free atoms." For instance, be a proud owner of "Be an Optimist Prime, not a Negatron."
