Sam Concepcion stars in Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure, September 29 to October 30

(SPOT.ph) What better way to celebrate 10 years in the industry than to topbill the Asian premiere of a timeless tale of a flying, forever young boy? Boy-next-door-turned-hunk Sam Concepcion brings Peter Pan to life on stage starting this week in Stages and Repertory PhilippinesPeter Pan: A Musical Adventure.

The youth icon, singer, TV host, and theater actor has previously appeared in productions like The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe; High School Musical; and NOAH. Concepcion plays the title role Peter Pan, leader of The Lost Boys of Never Land. Michael Willams plays his nemesis Captain Hook, while Tippy Dos Santos and Cara Barredo alternate playing his lady love, Wendy Darling.

Nacho Tambunting is John Darling and Juan Miguel Santos stars as Michael Darling, the youngest of the Darling children. Joining them are Jaime del Mundo (Mr. George Darling), Pinky Marquez (Mrs. Mary Darling), Robie Zialcita (Smee), Kyla Rivera (Tiger Lily), Joy Virata (older Wendy Darling), and more. The fairy we all love, Tinker Bell, is represented by a bright twinkling light and her dialogue is heard as tinkling music translated by other characters.

The new version directed by Jaime Del Mundo and Menchu Lauchengco-Yuloadapted from the classic tale of Sir James M. Barrie and book by Willis Hall with music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drew, respectivelypromises stunning scenery, show-stopping stunts and sword fights, grade-A performances, and breathtaking flying scenes.

 

Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure runs from September 29 to October 30 with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and matinee shows on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas corner Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
