10 Tunes to Listen to This Month

Published: Nov 7, 2011 - 6:42am

(SPOT.ph) This November, SPOT.ph recommends Britney Spears' hot new track, catchy tunes from The Bloomfields, love songs from Spongecola and Daughtry, plus a Christmas track from Justin Bieber, and more on our playlist this month:

Song: "Criminal"

Artist: Britney Spears

Britney Spears isn't the Pop Princess for nothing. In this hot new track (with a sizzling music video to boot), Spears sings about falling in love with a criminal in her signature sexy-pop sound. Need we say more?

Fun Fact: The music video was shot in London in September and was directed by Chris Marrs Piliero (the man behind “I Wanna Go”) and co-stars Britney’s real-life boyfriend, Jason Trawick.

Song: "It's Complicated"

Artist: The Bloomfields

We love the words and we love how this catchy track brings back memories from the music of the '90s. Take a listen and tell us which iconic English rock band this song reminds you of. Plus, it seems like an appropriate long-drive song this holiday season.

Fun Fact: The Bloomfieds' Rocky Collado has been dubbed the "Gene Kupra of the Philippines" because of his drum playing skills.

yep...i've listened to some Danzig...i love the song Devil's plaything...i just love the aggressive beats of today's band metal bands be it deathmetal...metalcore...grindcore...mathmetal...and all those sub genres that confuses my brain....bands like Meshuggah...Lamb of God...Dark Tranquility...to name a few...and a stark contrast i listen to Christian Metal Bands like Demon Hunter...Living Sacrifice....the only genre that i find really really hard to listen to...is Black metal...to be honest they are satanist...they won't go round beating around the bush...those i cant handle...Dimmu Borgir...creeps the crap out of me...the music is great though...but the lyrics disturbs me...

Great new song from The Bloomfields! Anyway, as for that iconic English rock band, my wild guess is The Beatles. there's a bit of the characteristic "beatles-eque" styles I can hear (e.g. the wind instruments, distorted sounds). Anyway, I'm loving this song! Thanks, spot.ph for introducing this to me! :)

"probably one of the true love songs ever written,". This is what happens when you believe your own hype. Daughtry is good, but he's not that good. He's not THE BOSS. He's no Elvis, too

Was twentysomething during the '90s but still wracking my brains who the bloomfields remind me of. Great music vid, didn't distract from the song. Something many artists don't seem to realize these days with their flashy, over the top music vids
