Some of the bestsellers include Peach Walnut Pie and the Peanut Butter and Jelly, and the Dark Chocolate Orange (P105, small; P160, medium; and P210, large).

Want not-so-usual flavors? Cafe Publico serves Black Samurai made from green tea and black sesame, and Toothpaste made with a peppermint infusion and the Thai Tea.

Coffee and crostinis, plus pate are also on the menu.

Guiness Beer Vanilla Float (P250)

The interiors are a mix of European kitsch and whimsy with a touch of Philippine eccentricity.

A premium list of beer and wine by the glass are also available.

The cozy gelateria is also about fostering bonding time among friends and families, says owner Peter Chua.

You may request multiple spoon tastings of gelato over a counter made from an old-fashioned “sorbetero” cart.
