Maria Rica (Judy Ann Santos) and Maria Cecilia (Sarah Geronimo), Both are daughters of public school teachers turned OFW. When their parents left them in the care of their Lola Gerty, Rica and Cecilia are left with a family business of firecrakers in Bocaue, Bulacan. The two girls are inseparable. Rica takes her role as the big sister seriously, she even broke up with her boyfriend, Bong and vowing to devote her life taking care of her younger sister, Cecilia when the latter is hurt in a minor accident in their firecraker store.
