Top 10 Milk Teas Places in Manila

Kimberly Tsao | Published: Oct 28, 2010 - 11:15am

8. Honestea

Tea taste: Sweetened green tea it is, as its name says. It’s what you might imagine tea with honey or syrup would be like. Their milk tea also comes recommended though it’s stripped of any hint of the Asian flavor found in other milk teas.

Tapioca: Interchangeable between chewy and durog

Add-on options: Sago and black gulaman

Service: Good

Price: P35-P55 for one size only. Extra P5 for tapioca and P10 for gulaman.

Where to buy: G/F Cybergate Tower 3 Pioneer St., Mandaluyong

7. Tea Delite

Tea taste: Naicha milk tea (P40, L; P45, XL) can be described as the Filipino version of milk tea in terms of sweetness and chocolate-y goodness. Other teas consist of vanilla and caramel. They also carry straight and ingenious mix-and-match fruit flavors like Thrill, which is strawberry, blueberry, and grapes (P30, L; P35, XL). Some contain grenadine in the mix so kids (and those with kiddie tastebuds) will love it.

Tapioca: Sago was smaller in size than the standard.

Add-on options: Tapioca, nata de coco, and bubble burst, which explodes in your mouth. If you ever wanted to know what popped bubble wrap tastes like, this is your chance.

Service: Orders appear right away and their  servers were very attentive.

Price: You definitely get your money’s worth.

Where to buy: Ash Creek Center, San Juan and near DLSU

CHILLOUT is a new tea shop. They serve different milk teas, fruit teas and even fruit spin (fruit shake). Their best seller is Green Apple Yakult, Pomeberry, Oreo Milk Tea and Cocoa Foam Cheese, which really taste like the Cocoa Rock Salt and Cheese of Happy Lemon. affordable price yet taste really good. I've visited Legarda branch near mendiola. The crew says they also have branch in Morayta inside Food hall of Asia and Asturias St. in Dapitan UST.

I can't believe Bubble Tea is took the # 1 spot. I've tried it twice. The royal milk tea tasted watered down. Serenitea is still the best!

Bubble Tea drinks is really good! For me they have the best milk tea in town. Its quality is far from other milk teas in town. Ingredients are from Japan, their taste should tell you na quality siya. Bubble Tea is also #1 in my list of tea shops, Good choice of making Bubble Tea top 1 in your list! I love BUBBLE TEA!!!

I tried Tea Zone in Victory Mall, what a disappointment. Ordered taro milk tea, the crew threw on some crushed ice, taro powder, and some syrup in a blender. I asked if that's really how they do it, and said yes. I ended up having a drink similar to that of Zagu's/Orbit's which is beyond what milk teas should be. rnrnBTW I tried more than half of what is on this list, will try others too. rnrnP.S. Happy Lemon just opened their first branch in the PH, in Promenade. Not bad. I liked their Malt Milk Tea.

You should try Happy Lemon at Promenade Greenhills. They serve brewed milk tea and coffee mixes. Their Green Tea with Cheese and Rock Salt is a must!
