The new Friendster.

Isn't Friendster dead? Apparently not. Friendster just got a major facelift that's got us seeing green. But since people have hopped on board the Facebook wagon, is there any hope for its revamped contender? SPOT.ph gives you the tale of the tape.

According to Ben Dunn, Vice President and Global Head of brand experience, the new Friendster is simple, fun, and geared for the Asian Youth (aged 14 to 24). Its new features, like the Shout Outs, Wallet, Treasure chest, Gift shop, and Games, just to name a few, were all made to cater to their users' preferences. "We want them to be able to customize and express themselves freely. We want to make sure that we're the favorite site of Asian youth."

ambaduy ng bagong design ng prenster -- pambabae/pambading, kaya kaming mga lalaki nahihiya nang i-open etong website na to. facebook na lang kami, wala pa ring tatalo sa simplicity ng design.

I prefer Facebook for there's a real sense into it rather than the overstreamish (my term for being too mainstream) friendster. And despite having FS changing, its change rather is limited in its appearance, unlike Facebook, whose despite its "plainess", also has a variety of built-in anemities like games, chatbox, and others in order for the user to enjoy.

    And in fact,
Facebook is better for the creator of Facebook is to connect people closer than being a hoe.

you can anonymously stalk in FS, too, but the catch is you cant see who's stalking you ^_^

I have a friendster account which I rarely log in to while I log in on my facebook account everyday. Facebook is so much more addicting. And I love how you can comment in every post your friends make. It makes you feel more connected to them. Plus, the writer's right, I do anonymous stalking. LOL

Friendster has a superb marketing strategy for reeling in its past male users who moved to FB (I being one of them.)

Friendster emailed me that I had one new message from an obscenely hot, innocent-looking (which can also be read as 'naughty') girl. Thing with Friendster is, you have to log on to the site to view the message. So in order to read the message from the obscenely hot, innocent-looking girl, I actually have to log on to my old account.

    Henyo.

I seldom use my Friendster Account. I have opted to use my Facebook frequently because of easy & fast uploading of pics, pics tagging & sharing and games such as Farmtown, Farmwville and Cafe World. I am still trying to discover more games.
