(SPOT.ph) Fil-Canadian YouTube sensation Maria Aragon has been featured in an HTC commercial shown abroad, reports PEP.ph. The commercial, which promotes HTC’s Sensation 4G phone, makes references to websites like Twitter and Foursquare by stating: “You are the next Trending Topic” and “You are the next mayor of this bar.”
When the commercial's voice-over states, “You are the next sensation,” Aragon is shown playing keyboards while singing "Wavin’ Flag” by K’Naan. The 10-year-old singer became famous after posting a video of herself singing Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” on YouTube in February. The video reached 28 million views in six weeks, and Aragon has since performed with Lady Gaga during the pop star's Toronto concert in March.
The HTC commercial also pays tribute to Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization that aims to protect and preserve the oceans by stating: “You could be the next leader.” Bamboo Bike Studio, which developed the bamboo bicycle, was also featured under the statement "You are the next breath of fresh air."
