Sen. Miriam Santiago weighs in on P-Noy's love life: "I hope he makes a good choice if he is choosing at his age"

Published: Feb 9, 2012 - 3:50am

Interaksyon.com reports that Senator Miriam Defensor Santiagoafter speaking at the 17th Philippine Society of Hypertension convention at Crowne Plaza on Wednesday, February 8—weighed in on President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's love life. The bachelor-president's involvement with TV personality Grace Lee is all over the news these days. He also turned 52 on February 8.

When asked for her opinion on P-Noy's love life, Santiago said, "I hope he makes a good choice if he is choosing at his age. He should be choosing for a potential mate unless he is resigned to be a bachelor forever then I will advise him that it is a life of complete misery. Everyone needs a partner in life, a life partner. Let’s wish him good luck in his search."

But then Santiago also added: "Unfortunately, the Dalai Lama...said that desire is a source of misery and unhappiness in life. So if he is going to look for a mate, he might desire her and he might become unhappy. I will have to consult the Dalai Lama on that."
