Azkals Angel Guirado and Lexton Moy accused of sexual harrassment by former President Fidel Ramos' daughter, Cristy

Published: Mar 5, 2012 - 5:55am

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that former Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president and current match commissioner Cristy Ramos—daughter of former President Fidel V. Ramos—filed a a complaint filed with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee. She alleged that Philippine Azkals players Angel Guirado and Lexton Moy disrespected and sexually harassed her when was inspecting their acceditation cards and kits shortly before the friendly game between the Azkals and the Malayan Tigers on February 29. Ramos formally filed the complaint on Friday, March 2.

Sunstar.Manila reported that in the complaint addressed to AFC Disciplinary Chair Lim Kia Tong, Ramos revealed what occurred when was at the Azkals dugout: "Lexton Moy (No. 25) stood by my right side and said in a loud voice 'Must be a B cup,' to which the players laughed loudly. As I was the only female in the room, he was apparently referring to my bra size." She added, "Angel Guirado (No. 12) stood in front of me purposely just wearing his briefs and made no attempts to wear shorts or cover his underwear."

Interaksyon.com published Ramos' entire complaint and, in it, she also noted: "While all this was happening, none of the Philippine team officials present nor the team captain, James Joseph Younghusband (No. 7), made any attempts to discipline the players and tell them to behave properly. In fact, they were also laughing and seemed to be enjoying the revelry at my expense. Philippine team manager Dan Stephen Palami and Philippine head coach Hans Michael Weiss were both not present in the changing room at the time of the team check."

Philstar.com reported: "Upon receiving a copy of Ramos’ complaint, the Philippine Football Federation and Azkals team manager Dan Palami launched their own probe. "

I can't, for the life of me, understand why some people go g*g* over Azkals. They are below average players, with no significant win to date. Tapos, mga bastos pa. If they can do such acts to someone who holds an important position, e di mas lalo na sa mga Amanda Collins of this world. Hindi dapat 'to pinalalampas.

Just because you're popular, doesn't mean that you can bully anyone. Azkals, mas masahol pa kayo sa asong kalye. And i mean it in a bad way!

Been watching matches of those Azkals, no one really cuts it as top dog of that eleven, except maybe when Fil-foreigner goalie Etheridge is available, or when tough Fil-German striker Stephan Schroek (may have misspelled his name) is around to toughen them up. This sordid article is like a pack ganging up on the lone outsider, in this case a woman. With no alpha male around to tell them off, seems their caveman side got the better of them. The Younghusbands won't play the part, they didn't stand up to those locker room bullies (there always are, in a squad). Those brothers are choir boy types. And don't get started that local boys would've made a difference in such incidents, don't tell me there weren't any in that locker room fiasco.

So is this what they call "eye-candies"??!! Come on! The PH Volcanoes is way better than the Azkals. I got Caligdong's back. If only the football team has MORE FILIPINOS and given the attention they deserve, cases like this will not happen.

What a rude way to regard a person. No matter who the person is; what orientation the person has; what gender; respect is necessary. These people should be taught the lesson on how to regard people..the hard way.

Not only are you homophobic, you are sadly ignorant and insensitive too. Cristy's sister Jo Ramos passed away last year due to cancer, plus one's sexual orientation does not merit any harassment of any kind, at least for us intelligent members of civilized society.

How many prisoners were there (70,000?) and how many poor families assisted (3,000,000?)? It's not in the story no wonder you're confused.
