MYX Online reports that composer Darius Delphin Dasig, popularly known as Bodjie Dasig, died in the U.S. today, March 13 (Manila time cited for the report). He is known for hit songs like "Ale (Nasa Langit Na Ba Ako?)," "Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko," and "Sakayan ng Jeep." Dasig was also the frontman of the band Bodjie And The Law Of Gravity (later called Bodjie's Law Of Gravity), which once had singer Lani Misalucha as a member. The band is best known for the song "Bakit Ba Naman Ngayon Pa Umulan."

MYX Online noted that Dasig is married to Odette Quesada, who composed the songs "Don't Know What To Do," "I Need You Back," and "Give Me A Chance."  MYX Online said they were still awaiting more details about Dasig's death.

Rest in Peace, Bodjie Dasig. I know you'll write more songs somehow.

RIP Kuya Bodjie...still remember seeing him in Batibot

Hello, Jesuswasablackman. The Bodjie you're most likely referring to is not the Bodjie being discussed in this article. You are most likely referring to theater and character actor Bodjie Pascua, who is still very much alive. He was Kuya Bodjie in Batibot. The composer who passed away is named Bodjie Dasig. Thanks so much. We had to put this note to make things even clearer and ensure that there is no confusion over this death announcement. -SPOT.ph
