Manila Bulletin Online reports that in a radio interview on Sunday, march 18, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile gave unsolicited advice to President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino IIIon how to deal with the "Noynoying" phenomenon. Just recently, militant groups have take to doing "lazy poses" during protests to mimic what they think is the president's "inability to do anything."
According to the Manila Bulletin Online report, Enrile referred to his personal experience. He said that when he served as Defense Minister under President Ferdinand Marcos' administration, his critics had called him "matador (butcher)," "diktador (dictator)," and "martial law administrator." Enrile quipped: "I laugh at those calls, until now some people call me that, and I just laugh at them." Thus, he urged Aquino to do the same.
Ironically, Enrile has also been called "Ninoy (Aquino)'s jailer" in the past.
