She may be having a difficult time with Twitter trolls right now, but Sharon Cuneta still has a lot to be happy about.
Inquirer.net reports that Cuneta "won in a land dispute case against retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Justo Torres Jr." The report revealed that "the appeals court’s special eleventh division, through Associate Justice Edwin Sorongon, affirmed the lower court’s ruling favoring the ejectment case filed by the actress’ Sharon Cuneta Inc. (SCI) against the Torres family."
The property being referred to is a 398-square-meter lot located on 205 Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City. Cuneta had purchased it 1998 for P5 million from a Antonia Aruego, the half-sister of Torres' wife. Torres had argued that Antonia fraudulently subdivided the disputed the lot. According to the report, Cuneta's firm "filed an ejectment case against Torres and his family based on a claim of absolute ownership since Torres' occupation of the lot was accordingly by mere tolerance."
