I think isang rason kung bakit sobrang hyped yung Magnum kasi it's similar to the Haagen Dazs ice cream bars that are popular sa mga burgis but Magnum's cheaper lang by 50%. So parang it's the Haagen Dazs for the masa? And add to that the impressive PR and marketing strategy ng Magnum dito sa Pinas. I must say! effect!

BTW, naeenjoy ko 'tong Tweets of the week! SuperStarMarian is the best!

I'm surprised that there's such a big fuss over Magnum! OA ha! I never thought of it as something which has to reach Philippine shores. It's just so ordinary! Dami pang mas masarap dyan!

Bottomline, get the big picture of any issue to get the context of the whole situation. Things get complicated when those who want to participate in the discussion don't have all the facts down pat. We, Filipinos tend to get emotional when discussing issues, whether re: politics, celebrity lives, et.al. The focus on understanding and resolving the issue at hand gets muddled when we let emotions, rather than reason, rule the conversation/discussion. We should also learn the art of listening and respecting the other's side. Discussions should be a two-way street. Take the gems out of the discussion to resolve issues and when both parties cannot agree, then, agree to disagree. Secondly, we have propensity to drag old hurts and pains; have a hard time moving forward and have the annoying habit of carrying grudges (aren't we a faith-based/loving country?), and let pain fester by licking old wounds over and ver again. Right is right. When one's right is trampled, especially reputation and character, it is fair to stand up for these. Differentiate between standing up for one's right with letting others bashed others unfairly, viciously and uncalled for mean-spiritedness. Bottom-line, for the nation to move forward, we should learn proactive ways of doing things, that is, we should be solution-oriented.
