Capiz town vice mayor shot dead in front of his house

ABS-CBNnews.com, citing information from report by Nony Basco of ABS-CBN News Iloilo, reports that Mambusao, Capiz vice mayor Mayor Abel Martinez was gunned down in front of his house by "a lone assailant" at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, May 4. He was rushed to Mambusao Hospital and was declared dead on arrival. Police investigation is now ongoing.

    Heard the guy was just going through his morning exercises in front of his house when he was gunned down. Reminds me of that morbid joke, 'If you hate someone's guts, egg him on to enter politics. It's one of the easiest ways to get killed in this country.'
