Toni Gonzaga sings a Lady Gaga hit in a past gig.

InterAksyon.com reports that Toni Gonzaga is now getting flak for weighing in on the Lady Gaga controversy on ABS-CBN’s showbiz talk show The Buzz Sunday afternoon, May 20. Gonzaga and her co-hosts Boy Abunda and Charlene Gonzalez were discussing the fact that there were religious groups who were protesting Lady Gaga's presence in the country.

Gonzaga had revealed: "Personally, I liked Lady Gaga before, especially yung first song pa lang n'ya (with her first song). Pero eventually nung napansin ko na medyo nga nagkakaroon ng double meaning yung mga succeeding songs n'ya (But I eventually sensed that her succeeding songs had double meanings so), I stopped listening to her music." Gonzalez had said, "Personally, I really like Lady Gaga and I think you can choose the good and leave out the bad." It was then that Gonzaga countered, "No, but hindi ba, you are what you listen to. Kung ano yung pinakikinggan mo, eventually, subconsciously, nagiging ganun na rin, it affects your mind, especially music."

Reacting to Gonzaga's statements, performance artist Carlos Celdran tweeted: "It's the day of kabobohan (idiocy). Toni Gonzaga. Ikaw pala ang tunay na (You are the real) Lady Gaga. Are you for real?" When other Twitter users (presumably Gonzaga's fans) reacted, Celdran tweeted:"True. Being boba is not a crime. Correct."
