ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero has "denied rumors linking him to actress Heart Evangelista." The report noted that Escudero discussed the issues during an interview with entertainment columnist  Ricky Lo. "Di po totoo (It's not true)," Escudero said. The senator also clarified that though he is separated from his wife Christine Elizabeth "Tintin" Flores, he is "not yet single under the law."

For her part, Evangelista also clarified that there was "no third party" involved in her break-up with model Daniel Matsunaga. She cited their "cultural differences" and explained, "I'm old enough to decide for myself, to know what I want and what I don’t want, what’s good for me and what’s not good for me."

They married beautiful women to get close to public's eyes and attention. Nice move but I think in the end it will be for nothing. Wish them all the best and I hope they do well in the senate and in their political career still

This was started by the former strongman, Marcos. Driven by ambition during the late '50s, he had a whirlwind romance with Imelda, who was a known beauty queen back in the day. That upped his political stock among the Visayan voters (Imelda is from Tacloban). Marcos, at the time already had Luzon in the bag (he's Ilocano). Fast-forward to '65, he easily beat the re-electionist Diosdado Macapagal for the presidency, thanks in part due to the fact that many voters swooned over the beautiful Imelda and the dashing Marcos. He left the palace in '86 a tired, beaten old man. Imelda, though, is as defiant as ever.

Tanong lang, bakit ang politiko madalas ma-link sa mga artista and vice versa. Ewan ko, para kasing parehong entertainment industry, hahaha!
