Pinay who smuggled cocaine gets death sentence in Malaysia
InterAksyon.com reports that on Tuesday, May 29, "Malaysian high court Judge Datuk Mohd Sofian Abdul Razak gave the death sentence to Filipina Eliza San Gabriel Resurreccion, 45, who was caught with 1.126 kg of cocaine in her bag of clothes at Pudu Raya bus station in Kuala Lumpur on August 28, 2009."

InterAksyon.com reports that on Tuesday, May 29, "Malaysian high court Judge Datuk Mohd Sofian Abdul Razak gave the death sentence to Filipina Eliza San Gabriel Resurreccion, 45, who was caught with 1.126 kg of cocaine in her bag of clothes at Pudu Raya bus station in Kuala Lumpur on August 28, 2009." Resurreccion has been in detention since her arrest.

The report noted that Vice President Jejomar Binay, the Presidential Adviser for OFW Concerns, who happened to be in Malaysia to speak at the Philippines-Malaysia Investment Partnership Forum, "instructed Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Ed Malaya to immediately extend all assistanceto Resurreccion."
