Inquirer.net reports that on Wednesday, May 30, "a live M-26 hand grenade, which was placed inside a small canister, was left at the back perimeter fence near the gate of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales’ residence at Carpio Compound, Soldiers’ Hills Village, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City."

Inquirer.net reports that on Wednesday, May 30, "a live M-26 hand grenade, which was placed inside a small canister, was left at the back perimeter fence near the gate of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales’ residence at Carpio Compound, Soldiers’ Hills Village, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City." The report noted that the package also had a handwritten note with the handwritten message: "Pang densa [sic] kay CCM - nagmamalasakit." (The word, "densa," is probably misspelled and is probably supposed to be "depensa.") Police have yet to identify who left the canister.

A Philstar.com report reveals that "Ricky Apostol, a security guard assigned to the Ombudsman's house located at No. 9 Carpio Compound, Soldier's Hill in Barangay Putatan, discovered a suspicious looking plastic bag near the perimeter gate just a few meters away from the main gate of the compound at about 3:30 p.m." Sometime after that, the police were called and, as the Inquirer.net report noted, "the explosive was contained around 5:30 p.m."
