Agence France-Presse (AFP), via ABS-CBNNews.com, reports that 21-year-old Alexander Kinyua—a student at Morgan State University in Maryland—was arrested on Tuesday (May 29) after his own brother discovered the head and hands of Kinyua's roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie. Other reports reveal that Kinyua's brother had suspicious when the victim, who was a graduate student from Ghana, went missing. So, he went to the house and reportedly discovered the body parts inside metal tins in the laundry room. He, along with Kinyua's father, alerted the police.
Kinyua confessed that he had killed Agyei-Kodie, "cut up the body, and ate part of the victim's brain and his whole heart." Reports say the police have no reason to doubt Kinyua's claim. However, it was pointed out that Kinyua's motive was "unclear." He had been charged with first degree murder and is being held without bail.
