26 CCTV cameras installed at Rizal Park

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "26 closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras were set up by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Rizal Park to ensure the safety of the public strolling by the place especially this Christmas season." The report noted: "The high technology gadgets are capable of rotating 360 degrees, count the number of people in the park, as well as recognize people based on faces the agency will input in its database."

The report also added: "The cameras were strategically set up from the Quirino Grandstand to Taft Avenue in Ermita so authorities would have an eye on every corner of the park."
