Police ditch 24-hour waiting period in missing children cases involving those ages 12 and below

Abigail Kwok of InterAksyon.com reports that "Philippine National Police chief Director General Alan Purisima said the police will forego a policy that allows 24 hours to lapse before they launch a search for children reported as missing."

The report noted: "The policy, however, will only apply to children aged 12 and below."
