Sen. Bong Revilla responds to P-Noy’s speech, says, "Hindi ako magnanakaw"
He also chides the president for "not listening."
Philstar.com's Christina Mendez reports that "following President Benigno Aquino III's speech on the pork barrel issue on Wednesday night (October 30) Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. reiterated that he did not steal from the government's coffers."
The report quoted Revilla, who said, "Hindi ako magnanakaw at wala akong ninakaw sa kaban ng bayan. Baka kaya walang naririnig ang Pangulong P-Noy dahil hindi siya nakikinig (I am not a thief and I did not steal from the nation's coffers. Maybe President P-Noy hasn't heard this because he's just not listening)."
The report also noted: "Revilla, meanwhile, said that President Aquino's explanation of the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) raised more questions than answers."
The DAP has been tagged by Aquino's critics as the "President's Pork."
Revilla, along with fellow Senators Jinggoy Estra and Juan Ponce Enrile, are facing plunder charges over the alleged pork barrel scam.
