SONA 2011 Red Carpet Fashion: Who Wore What
Terno-inspired outfits and Filipiniana fashion ruled the SONA red carpet.
(SPOT.ph) The terno was the SONA outfit of choice as solons and their spouses attended President Noynoy Aquino’s July 25 State of the Nation Address.
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Paul Cabral designed atleast four legislative spouses’ outfits and also created President Aquino’s barong for the event. First Sister Kris Aquino chose an understated blush terno by Cary Santiago.
Kaye Tinga, wife of Taguig Rep. Sigfrido Tiñga, wore a Pepito Albert creation, a Maria Clara with a kimono top draped on her shoulders paired with a black skirt. Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda R. Marcos donned a pink terno this year who told media that the dress was "picked out of her baul."
Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez, clad in a pale pink Randy Ortiz terno, stood out in the crowd while Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao’s wife, Jinkee, chose a Martin Bautista-designed terno.
