(SPOT.ph) Newly engaged couple Patty Laurel, 28, and Patrick Filart, 29, brought in a rainbow of love to the Big Bad Wolf in Taguig and Bulb Studios in Makati during their pre-nup photoshoot in January. "We just wanted to show that we're two simple kids who are happy and in love...We wanted to inject lots of color and light into our shoot, so we used the Holi Powder Festival in India as our main inspiration peg," the former TV host told SPOT.ph.

And they did just that. The pre-nup set features shots of the couple playing around with colored powder and quirky props. Also included in Laurel and Filart's pre-nup shots are candid, sweet moments still with a youthful vibe. According to former TV host-turned-college instructor, they wanted to collate photos they could show their children in the future.

Laurel also told SPOT.ph, "Our friends and families were texting and Tweeting us like crazy on the day of our shoot. Needless to say, everyone was nervous and excited for us!" She added that her fiancé, Filart, commercial editor and owner of Thirty Six-O Productions, whispered "awful DOM pick-up lines and painfully corny jokes" to her throughout the shoot to help put her at ease.

The pre-nup shoot team was composed of MangoRed (photography), Rabbit Hole Creatives and Hannah Liongoren (props), Jasmine Mendiola (makeup), and Bianca Santiago-Reinoso (styling).

The couple went to grade school together but didn't really become friends until they met
each other again, years after, at a friend's birthday celebration. Their first official date was on Valentine's Day in 2011 and Filart proposed to Laurel on New Year's Eve in a DIY and family affair which Patty calls a "glow-in-the dark" proposal. The couple hopes to tie the knot by the end of the year through a "small and sweet" ceremony. "We're only getting married once, so we want to enjoy all the wedding preps and not get too stressed about the little details," Laurel told SPOT.ph.
